Meli

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 21, 2026

Meli (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a gentle daily-reset app made by Amped Management (“Amped,” “we”). This policy explains what we collect, what we don’t, and why. The short version: your journal and reflections stay on your device by default, and we designed Meli to ask for as little as possible.

Your journal

Your journal entries, tiny wins, evening notes, and weekly reflections are stored on your iPhone and — if you create an account — synced privately to your own space in our database (Google Firestore), so they follow you to a new phone. Only you can read them: our security rules restrict every entry to your own account. We never sell them, never show ads against them, and never use them for marketing. Your app settings stay on your device. You can delete everything at any time (see “Deleting your data” below).

Screen Time data

If you turn on the gentle reset, Meli uses Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) framework to notice when you’ve spent your chosen amount of time in apps you select. Apple does not tell Meli which apps you choose — we only receive anonymous references. This information never leaves your device and is never sent to us or anyone else.

Account information (optional)

If you create an account, we collect your first name and email address through Firebase Authentication (a Google service) so your name and settings can move with you to a new phone. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from that provider. We store this basic profile in Google Firebase (Firestore). We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

The “Take it deeper” reflection (optional)

If you choose to use the “Take it deeper” feature, the words you wrote that morning, the messages you send in that reflection, and — so the mentor can be more attuned to you — a small amount of your own context from your device (your tone preference, the goals you set during onboarding, and a few of your recent entries) are transmitted to our secure server function and then to Anthropic (the makers of Claude) solely to generate a response back to you. This happens only when you actively use the feature. This information is not stored on our servers after the response is generated, and it is never used to advertise to you. Anthropic processes it under its own terms as our service provider. You can turn this feature off entirely in Profile → Reflection.

Subscriptions

Meli Plus subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple provides us anonymized purchase and subscription-status information so we can unlock features.

Third-party services we use

Anonymous usage stats

To understand how Meli is used and make it better, we count anonymous, aggregate events — for example, how many mornings were completed or how often a feature was opened. These are plain counters. They contain no personal information, no journal content, and nothing that identifies you, and they are not linked to your account. You can turn this off any time in Profile → Privacy.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data. We don’t serve ads. We don’t track you across other apps or websites. We don’t build advertising profiles, and we never use your journal or reflections for marketing.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Account → Delete account, which removes your account and profile from our servers. Your on-device journal is removed when you delete the app. To request anything else, email us at the address below.

Children

Meli is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, note it in the app.
